Steering rack tie rods

Believe my steering rack is on the way out so wanting to swap it for a purple rack as I’m wanting the car a bit more responsive anyway.

Though a lot of people are saying it’s a straight swap, I’m reading mixed info on tie rods. I’m 50% sure I need e46 inners and e36 outers and everything else will bolt up, but google tells me those tie rods won’t bolt up and some other websites are saying I need modified tie rods? If anyone could help with parts needed for the swap I’d appreciate it.
