Rv camping with no power hookup.

Does anyone have any advice or experience using the refrigerator in the rv. Is that something I should not use as it will constantly drain power or is it minimal to the point that it's okay? I know I should only be running ac like...4 hours a day? Any other things I should keep in mind to try and avoid disaster.
