Giant talon 2 (29 inch large) upgrade options to lighten bike

Hello all,

I'm thinking of replacing the fork with a fixed one and replacing the wheels and tires as well. My goal is to use this bike mostly on the road and lighten it up WITHOUT spending a crap ton of money which I could put towards a NEW bike if it came down to it. Opinions are appreciated. Cheers.
