I wrote a song on extreme Sexual assault and wanted advice on whether this expressed that trauma (I am not a victim of SA)
I'm a teenage songwriter and my EP im writing 'opia' contains a song called 'perversion'. Which is about rape, and being manipulated into thinking it is an act of love even though it hurts. The person in perspective of the lyrics is the victim and since thinking the rapist loves her, she submits herself to him and lets him degrade her.
Strong TW⚠️: graphic words, rape
Perversion:
To you there is nothing I am worth
Closure is something that I don't deserve
My glass heart is yours to break
How long is this torture going to take?
You spread my legs like I was never there
Right behind the smile is black and blue
But I'd take as much as I can bare
I'll do it if it pleases you
You rip up the best of me until somebody sees it
And then you hide
You hide
You will watch me scream until I'm dripping like a faucet
But I can't cry
I'm afraid to die
All I ever wanted is for you to guve me gratitude
I am bruised
Being A personalised pornstar's not what mother said that love was
Who have I even become?
Someone help me I can never leave
I question if I was born to bleed
How much longer am I gonna scream?
You kept my body, killed the rest of me
I want to disclaim I have never been through any form of sexual assault. I wanted to write this ad an outlet for anyone that has been through this. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong or offensive through writing this but please tell me if I have offended anyone.
I wish everyone in this sub well
