How to tell if a kingsnake is stressed when getting picked up

Hey all, I picked up my pet California kingsnake today for handling (I got her a little over 2 weeks ago) and for the first time she didn’t make any attempts to flee, I wanted to ask if that is more likely a sign of tolerance or a freeze response, or if she was just tired? (it was the morning and she’s more of a night snake) She was calm after I picked her up.
