Feeling guilty for feeling happy

I'm in another state and feeling so happy to not have the constant negativity and criticism. I feel like I can breathe and laugh and leave the house. But, I also feel really guilty that he's miserable and alone in another state. Maybe this is more of a vent but it feels nice to say it out loud.
