Issues regarding launching the game in VR.

I'm running AC using Content Manager and am trying to run VR through Virtual Desktop. I've heard that it works and I've had it work first hand for me. However, now every time I try and run AC in VR, it shows a black screen for ~3 seconds and then says "Race Cancelled" even though it works just fine on the flatscreen options. I've tried launching the game as admin, launching it in 32-bit, disabling OXR Toolkit completely and messing with all of the settings and, to no avail, the game doesn't launch.
