Why build an island that people get stranded on?

All of this is my opinion and just food for thought. Preface I started fiddling with the map maker a couple of days ago so I’m no expert but because of my situation after last night I have an insight into some things that need to be on maps with an Atlas, and that I shall include on any islands I build. Story: I took off for an island I was ill equipped to handle and got bitch slapped into reality. I didn’t get off the helm before my ship was totally destroyed. Everything gone. I respawned at the closest Atlas a little stunned but took time and regrouped. Fine, build a ship and fly back to the 1st island where I had started a new ship. I was out gathering mats to finish it. First thing Atlas Dust, looked and no flying shrimp. Opened inventory and surprise, I had went back to the first island to get some and there it was in my inventory. Next metal. Not a nod on the island although it says zinc and tin. In the coarse of looking I got zinc and tin ingots in some of the containers. I thought great I’m going now, it won’t be big or fast but I can get off this rock. Then it hit, no coral. I can build a furnace to smelt the dust into crystal. I scoured the entire island numerous times. Now I’m stranded until my friend gets back and builds a ship to come get me. But this got me thinking, any island with an Atlas should have the minimum material for a person to build a ship. Nothing fancy just enough to get you going again. Like I said just my opinion and something to think about
