which lens with Fuji X-t5 ?
I'm going to change my camera (X-T30 m1 with a 15-45mm XC) for an X-T5 (good deal at the moment). I'm therefore looking for a lens to put on it (the X-T30 will remain as a backup body with the 15-45). I also have a Tamron 18-300 as a backup lens for zoos, bus tours, in short, for souvenir photos.
A few years ago, I was with Pentax (k5) with a 15mm prime lens. It's a focal length I used 80% of the time (and the 35/50/70mm only came out very rarely).
I also had a 10-20mm on my Pentax, but I was really lost at 10mm, it was too extreme for me.
So I'm looking for the equivalent, knowing that I mainly do landscape photography and a bit of astrophotography.
I've selected the following lenses: (I've put down some "optical" ratings, but I'm not sure about them.)
- Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8 R ==> 4/5
- Fujifilm XF 16mm f/1.4 R ==> 5/5
- Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-a RXD ==> 3.5/5
- Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR ==> 3.5/5
- Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary ==> 4/5
- Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 ==> 4.5/5
- Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary ==> 4.5/5
- Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR ==> 3.5/5
- Samyang AF 12mm f/2 ==> 3.5/5
- Fujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 ==> 2/5
But I can't determine a ranking of the optical quality (a score between 1 and 5 for each lens) independently of size/weight/price/bulk, knowing that it will have to handle the 40 megapixels of the X-T5 (the 15-45 already seems out of the running).
A little help in rating these lenses would be welcome!
