Fraud Detection And Prevention Fee For L1B Extension

Hi, I have an upcoming interview scheduled at US Consulate, Chennai. Do I need to pay the fraud detection and prevention fee of $500 or will it be waived off considering it is an extension? I had paid the fee when I applied for the visa for the first time. Now I am trying to get the same visa extended for 2 more years. Thank you!
