My older sister is mean and it’s ruining our relationship

My older sister Natalia is 12 years older than me Ever since I was little, she would make comments that hurt me. She told me that other girls my age were prettier than me. When I was 9 and she was 21, she said my belly was chubby and that I didn’t have a flat stomach. She said I was ugly compared to other kids. I was just a child, so I believed her. I genuinely thought it was true because she was so much older I didn’t think she would make something like that up.

When I became a teenager, a modeling agency randomly approached me at the mall and asked if I had ever considered modeling because I “had the look.” I was shocked. I couldn’t understand why anyone would want me to model I was so insecure. I told my sister about it, and she laughed at me and said, “Who would want you to model? It’s probably a scam.” So I ignored the opportunity.

In high school, I was good at soccer, and my PE teacher noticed. He encouraged me to try out for the team. When I told my sister about it, she said, “You’re too clumsy to be an athlete.” That crushed me. I didn’t feel like I fit in at school. I was insecure, and honestly, my high school experience sucked.

Now I’m an adult, and my sister has kids I don’t. She still makes comments about me. She tells me she has kids, a husband, a college degree, and a house, and that I don’t have any of that. I’m happy for her accomplishments, truly but why does she have to put me down? She’s older than me, and when it’s my time, I’ll have those things too. But instead, she aggressively told me I’ll never have them.

What can I do? Should I just cut her off or keep dealing with her? I’d really appreciate your advice.
