LED light product help - FC-10G

I’ve had this Top Fin 10 gallon for about 6 weeks or so and just noticed that the LED light that is connected to the hood has a slide switch right next to the light. Obviously, this isn’t the on/off switch since that’s outside of the tank, and is a button switch, so I was curious if anyone knew what it might be? I can’t find anything in the instructions about it being a timer or anything, and when we slide it, it doesn’t change anything about the lights (dimness, color, etc)

I also tried googling the product itself (listed as FC-10G in the instructions), but couldn’t find any mention of it.
