It was at the last hellfire gala at krakoa, Illy brought me along as her plus one, she wore this absolutely stunning dress I swear you wouldn’t even recognize her, I tried to look my best but ended up wearing this basic ass suit I got awhile back. The party was great aside from the occasional uninvited guest, we danced we drank and everyone had a good time. Just before the fireworks started I pulled Illyana off to the side, somewhere no could see us, I didn’t have anything prepared so I just took out my phone out and played “greatest love story” by-LANCO at about 2:33 seconds in, just to set the mood (its cheesy I know, looking back I wish I wouldn’t have done that) and I just spoke from the heart “Illy, these last couple years with you have been the highlight of my life and I want nothing more but to spend eternity with you… but we can’t do this, you can’t be my girlfriend anymore” I said as I got down on one knee “so would you please do me the honor of becoming my wife” as I pulled out a little box containing this beautiful diamond ring I asked Emma to make me, and I swear it was like magic, the fireworks went off right after she said yes, after that we just enjoyed the rest of the gala we didn’t tell anyone what happened that night until a couple os days later, they (unsurprisingly) were very surprised, they did not think under any circumstances that we would work out (understandably) and I’m glad we were able to prove them wrong

I still remember that night
