If India can intercept, why fear nukes?

The recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan happened quickly, likely because both nations possess nuclear weapons. In my opinion, without nuclear capabilities, a ceasefire might not have occurred. You can see similar situations in conflicts like Palestine and Ukraine, where the absence of nuclear power has prolonged fighting.

However, I have a question. India claims it intercepted most of Pakistan’s missiles, with only a few hitting targets in Udhampur and Srinagar. If India can intercept nearly all of Pakistan’s missiles, as they assert, why fear Pakistan’s nuclear weapons? Wouldn’t India’s missile defense systems be able to neutralize any nuclear warheads as well?
