‎I think I’m a book scumbag. I'm not the kind who “cheats” and drops novels halfway. Oh no, I'm worse.
‎
‎I see a juicy synopsis, maybe “loyal dog gong x cool, irritable queen shou,” or “green-tea president × black bellied shou” … and it’s love at first tag.
‎
‎Bookmark. Close tab. Lie to myself: “I’ll read this after I finish what I’m currently on.”
‎
‎Except… plot twist (or not): I’m currently reading four novels at once.
‎
‎Because while reading Novel A, I come across a rec for Novel B in the comments.
‎I peek at the summary. It sounds amazing.
‎I fall in the pit for Novel B.
‎
‎Then Novel B mentions Novel C in the author’s notes.
‎
‎I click. I peek. I fall again.
‎
‎Now I’m juggling A, B, C, and somehow Novel D from a random Reddit post (which is definitely not my fault, by the way. Like an agent of chaos, OP is looking for a novel and decides to dangle the summary in front of me like a juicy piece of well grilled steak. What was I supposed to do? Resist?)
‎
‎So yeah, I'm now juggling 3+ novels like I’ve got eight lives, no job and no bedtime.
‎
‎Meanwhile, my original 1,000+ bookmarked novels?
‎
‎Still untouched. Still waiting.
‎Still whispering:
‎
‎“Jie-jie… what about me?”
‎And I’m like: “Shhh, baby, I’ll come back after this chapter...maybe.”
‎
‎To make things worse, when I do finish a novel and LOVE it, I spiral.
‎I don’t rest. I don’t reflect.
‎I go on a hunt for every single novel with that exact vibe.
‎
‎Bookmark. Bookmark. Bookmark.
‎I’m building a shrine I will never revisit.
‎
‎At this point, I’m a danmei polygamist with goldfish memory and zero discipline.
‎A professional synopsis simp.
‎A full-time To Be Read criminal.
‎
‎Anyone else living like this? Or are you all disciplined and emotionally stable? Let me suffer loudly!
‎
‎Oh, and if you relate to this, please drop your favorite unread novel below. I won’t read it, but I WILL lovingly bookmark it. 🥰

Book Scumbag??
