Ideas for using photos you take?

Art

The background - I was previously a professional photographer (magazine portraits > weddings > then real estate). I started photography as a kid because I really enjoyed it as a creative outlet, then, after I started doing it for money, I lost the love, and then only picked up a camera if I was being paid.

It's now been ~10 years since then, and I've started to dabble for fun again, mostly when I travel, and taking photos of my kids/family memories. One of the things that I struggle with is what to do with the photos.

I enjoy taking the photos and looking at them afterwards, but then I feel like for the most part, they get forgotten somewhere on my phone/hard drive and it honestly makes me question the point of taking the photos.

Some of the ways I'm trying to ensure the photos have a longer shelf life are: using the iPhones featured photo background image, I sync some to our Frame TV, I print a few (but only a few, I only have so much wall space in my house), and each year I make calendars for holiday gifts.

Any other ways others are using their photos? I've thought about getting a digital frame for my desk, or perhaps making a yearly Zine where I include the best ~100 photos from each year as a keep sake.

Curious if anyone else has any great ideas on how to use the photos I take?
