In 7 ish hours time I’m getting a root canal and I’ve never had one before and I’m getting scared 😭 It’s the lateral incisors according to google (It’s the one next to the 2 front top teeth)

I’ve heard that they don’t really take and end up having to either get a crown which I cannot afford as I’m on a disability pension & the only other option is to pull it but I’m already self conscious 😬😩😭

I was also told they do it in 3 stages, how does that work and how long do you normally wait to do the next step?

What makes me more anxious/scared is the pain especially after wood, I have chronic illnesses and pain so I guess I feel pain differently in the sense that my body seems to over react and I already have a huge tolerance to meds 😭🫠🙃

I forgot to add I was seen by a different dentist earlier this year and they said I only needed a filling not a root canal and apparently no infection. How do they take the filling of to do the procedure & how does the infection come out?
