Refund processing after 2 weeks is automatic?

I returned the item and according to the tracking number, the packaged had arrived to the warehouse. From my previous refunds, it was quicker, some haven’t even reached the warehouse yet but the refund process had started. Except for my last refund request.

It has been 7 days and no changes at all. I asked the shop/seller about the status of the refund. Their reply was, “Why do you need a refund?”.

That got me worried because it seems like the package had arrived the warehouse and no process had started, considering I have stated my reasons to return the item and that when I got the return ticket.

According to Aliexpress, if there isn’t any refund made after 2 weeks, they will automatically refund my money. Should I rely to this option and wait it out?
