32:9 settings for gaming
Hi,
I have an Odyssey G9 Neo (5120x1440 240Hz). I have been gaming on this monitor for 2 years now.
I am annoyed about the fact, that you cant use the settings you want to in almost any games.
My desired resolution for gaming is 3440x1440 (so 21:9 1440p). I like the performance of this resolution and I think besides racing games the 21:9 resolution fits games extremely well.
Nearly every game only supports full resolution or 16:9 presets if I want to lower it.
I mostly use windowed mode and programs like Borderless Gaming or NoMoreBorder to just use 3440x1440.
I was wondering if this is the best or preferred method you guys use or if someone can give me a lifehack to improve my QoL using this monitor.
I love this monitor for productivity and I do not want to swap it out for something else.
Whats your best practice? Split the monitor into 2 outputs via the settings? Just using the borderless programs?
Any tips?
Thanks!
