[Kindle Fire] [2010s] Pixel Game?

I remember playing a game on my kindle fire ages ago and had asked around. I remember playing as a teen boy and you had to solve quests/tasks for a family. I only remember it being 8-bit and you being annoyed by dogs, it also had a Christmas variant as well. Any ideas?
