So Yazid burned down Medina during the battle of Harrah and besieged Mecca, and Sunni scholars are ok with that?

Why are they so partial when it comes to the filthy actions of Umayyad dynasty? Just because they spread Islam far and wide makes them good people? They literally killed, raped and burn down the Muslims in Medina and Mecca and even Ka'ba was set on fire and Mecca was held under siege and in civil war for more than a decade and apparently, scholars like Al Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun are all ok with it. The entire Umayyad dynasty was full of despicable people!
