Upper abdominal stomach cramps during period

Hi everyone

I have a 10cm subserosal fibroid that I was meant to have removed in March but without going in to the detail my surgery has been delayed until later this year.

I’ve had my period since Tuesday and since Tuesday I have had constant abdominal stomach cramps in the mid to upper region and bloating. I’ve had normal period cramps in my lower pelvic region which have come and go but the main pain I’ve had all week is this constant cramping in my upper abdomen region. It’s more like the cramps you have if you have a stomach virus but I’m healthy and have been a little constipated but nothing that bad.

Does anyone else get this? My period should end in the next day or two and I’m hoping it’ll stop then but starting to wonder if it’s unrelated to the fibroid. My lower stomach area does feel really bloated and hard like it usually does but the cramps are more in the centre of my abdomen and not in the lower region
