APR Stage 1 Low vs High Torque Switch Free?

I have a 2018 GTI S and due to the fact that I don't have a limited slip, I'm going with the low torque APR stage 1 tune. My VW Stealership charges $800 for a stage 1 flash, so I ordered the Ultralink. In the mean time, I saw a video where you have the option to flash to different octane tunes for free once you have purchased stage 1. Does this also mean that in the future if I want to put some sticky summer tires on, that I can potentially switch to the high torque tune for free, or will I have to shell out another $500?
