Secret wars movie and scarlet witch.

Hello. New to reading comics but not a complete noob. My favorite characters are Spider-man, Scarlet Witch and Doctor doom. I wanted to read up on 2015s secret wars for the movie but I’m wondering if those stories are similar to the 1984 secret wars? Does Spidey get the symbiote suit in 2015 like 1984? I’ve seen people say don’t buy the secret wars omnibus but get Hickmans two avengers omnis and the secret wars paperback. Also I wanted to read up on some scarlet witch stories but not sure what to get looking for an Omni type book. I was looking at house of M but have seen mixed reviews. Some love it some say it ruined her character? Lastly Doctor doom. I was looking at the book of doom omnibus but it’s ridiculous expensive second hand so is there any other books I could read to get familiarized with the character? I know he plays a big role in secret wars 2015 would those Hickman avengers and the paperback be enough context to start with him? So far only omnis I have are Amazing Spider-Man 1 the Ditko and Stan Lee stuff. Then I have the paperback for scarlet witch and vision, also the penguin marvel fantastic four book.(collects of few key fantastic four issues including dooms first appearance).
