Learning with books instead of internet/videos?
As a full grown adult, I'm just beginning to realize I can focus and learn so much better if I have a comprehensive reference book or textbook related to a topic rather than a youtube video or free internet source. I think having one book with a logical order, consistent formatting, table of contents, index, etc. is so much better for my ADHD brain. I'm even able to get into a flow state sometimes. With the internet, it seems everything is trying to steal my attention. Also, having to piece together different sources of information just overwhelms my executive function.
Has anybody else had this realization? Do you make it a point to find good books or do you just end up wasting money on an expensive textbook for your latest hyperfocus topic?
