I can’t find my clit

So I recently discovered that I can’t find my clitoris for some reason (I’m a teenager so it’s not menopause). I don’t think I was born without one, but I just CAN’T FIND IT. I know where it’s supposed to be and I know sometimes the hood covers it up, but I looked and just don’t see anything. I was thinking maybe of going to a gynecologist to get it checked, but maybe that would be overreacting to schedule an entire appointment just for that. I also don’t wanna ask my mom to look because it would be too awkward for me. I know it’s nothing to be ashamed of, but I’m extremely shy. If you know anything about this I would appreciate if you commented an explanation :)
