Here’s the same photo incorrectly reversed, as it appears throughout the internet. But note the reversed version is cropped across the internet and does not correctly portray the image as taken by Brady nor the left hand wound. My great great great grandfather Ackermann immigrated from Germany, he was born in Bavaria in 1833 and died in New York City in 1899.
