BirdDog PTZ keyboard

Got everything connected the keyboard sees the cameras, the problem is the joystick won’t calibrate.

It is prompting me on the led screen to calibrate it (“UnCalibrated UP”) but will not change after moving the joystick up, or down, or in any direction, i’ve tried them all. I understand that after moving the joystick up the prompt is supposed to change to “UnCalibrated Down” and then left and then right but I can’t get it to move on from UP. I do NOT have a windows laptop near by that I can make it connect to the software either.
