U7 outdoor under eve mounting?

It looks like the U7 outdoor wants to be mounted on a wall or pole but I was looking to replace a U6LR that is mounted under a second floor roof eve overlooking the backyard.

Would the U7 outdoor work here or do I need to figure out a way to wall mount it?
