I ain't buying my mom a mother's Day gift.

So the day has rolled around and my mom's kinda going on a rant about it this morning during breakfast about it. "Where's my gift?" She starts spewing all the bullshit about how my cousin (mind you, this is a grown ass man with a great salary and a good job) is buying lavish gifts for his mom and is driving from out of state to see her..

I continue eating, not giving a shit then she keeps pressuring me on where mine are?? Like dude, I'm fucking 17. My sister pointed out how I have $3,800 of savings in my bank account from my part time job. Okay?? That money is supposed to be for my college funds for extra spending like if I have a broken computer that needs replacing or some takeout. I earned that on my own. I refuse to spend it because people decided it'd be some special day.

Don't get me wrong I think it's great to spend on mother's day but not when your dead broke and trying to save for an American education. I mean seriously, she can wait till I'm settled and have a good job and can actually afford shit..?

For those who think it's a good idea to give letters or hand made gifts, I tried. Well I should say little kid me tried and well, that always ended up in the dumpster after a quick "cool." Sooo it's clear that's not appreciated and she only wants the materialistic part of the gift than the gesture itself. So yeah, fuck mother's day, that shit can wait years.
