CEX MFA/2FA SMS Phishing Megathread
I've been in crypto for a few years now, but just started receiving MFA (mutli-factor authentication) phishing texts posing as centralized exchanges trying to get me to call back to the number in the text. While I knew this was a phish off the bat, scrolling through this subreddit I've seen a fair few posts of people falling for this scam (calling up the number before backing out) and wondered if a megathread was warranted?
Something to list out phishing texts + numbers in hopes that when a newbie gets those same texts, they might run a google search and come across this thread before actually calling out to the numbers in the texts and risking their crypto portfolios. I know most of us are likely just blocking these numbers as they come in, but compiling a list of them may be useful for preventing others from falling for the phish.
Mods, feel free to delete if you think this post is not warranted.
