"No beans" but there's beans. Any way to brew with that light?

... ok, I guess it could use more beans, but I keep em in the freezer in air tight bags and I can't open the bag now when the beans are cold otherwise moisture will condense on them. I have to wait until they come up to room temp.

Is there a way to "trick it" into brewing anyway? I feel like it gives me that "no beans" error when the hopper is only about 66% empty. Anyone know where the "bean sensor" is? I feel like I'm dealing with a printer.
