New Player

I just bought my cousin all the DLCs and wanted to take him through the game. I wanted to take him through all the campaigns in order (well the ones that are still in the game at least). he says the shadowkeep campaign isn’t available for him to start. Does he have to be a certain Guardian Rank to do it or just he just have to do the intro mission for the campaign to start?
