Jessi’s over generalizations.

Discussion

I may delete this because I’m sensitive and I feel like I may get hate lol. I regularly see clips of Jessi in interviews and on podcasts saying things that blow my mind. I am born and raised in Utah (haven’t lived here all my life) and I’m a member of the church. I am also the same age and gender of these ladies. I understand she used to be a member and her experiences are her own and that is totally fine. My issue is her over generalizing everything from church culture, Utah culture, the members of the church, the church itself. There are 3.5 million people in Utah! It astonishes me that she speaks like her experiences are the norm here! I know many here on this sub are not from Utah and are not members and don’t know our beliefs. I just want to say: don’t believe everything you hear. While yes, the women on this show represent one sub-culture here, there are many. There are wonderful, kind, down to earth people here who care about their families and neighbors and genuinely strive to be close to God.
I remember on season one she said something like Zac represented all Mormon men. Like WHATTTTT. Couldn’t be FURTHER from the truth. Anyways rant over. Hope you all have a great day and enjoy the show tomorrow!
