"I'm going into my ninth year next year and I haven't won shit"
This is what Nathan Mckinnon said after his team lost their 3rd second round in a row in 2021. They would go on to win the cup the very next year...
"Colorado thumped Vegas 7-1 in Game 1 and then won Game 2 by a 3-2 margin in overtime before losing the next four.
The Avalanche haven't advanced past the second round since losing in the conference finals back in 2001-02." refL https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2182153
Just posting this cause there's way too much negativity. It's okay to give up on the Leafs and walk away. Lots of other franchises can use your support. Leafs could lose in the first round or lose in game 7 of the finals and the support would still be just as negative. If you give up on your team now you are pathetic or you just weren't a fan to begin with, it's one or the other.
Florida was up 3-0 in the finals last year then lost game 4 (8-1), game 5 (5-3), and game 6 (5-1). I don't know about you but 8-1 is worse than 6-1. Do you think anyone on that team gives a shit about what happened in game 4 last year? Nope. Do you think Edmonton fans care they pushed a game 7? Nope.
It ain't over until it's over, Leafs in 7!
