Basement Cave Flooring
Recently had a flood in my basement due to a sump pump failing. I have a bedroom, two storage spaces, a living room area, bar area/game room. I’ve already ripped out the vinyl planks in the bedroom and the laminate in the storage. I think both can be dried, cleaned, and reinstalled. The rest of the basement has hardwood that has warped and will need to be ripped out I’m afraid.
What recommendations do you have for a new floor? We watch a lot of sports, play music and games - the space gets used 1x-2x a week and occasionally host parties. I live near St Louis and have installed a new sump pump/backup system. Looking at around 700 sq ft and don’t want to break the bank. Would like to keep the total budget under $5k and I will be doing the tear-out/install myself.
