How do you commit to competition?

Hi everyone, I just had a contest in boxing as a Muay Thai practitioner.

I trained Muay Thai for 1.5 years more or less. I always helped my gymates to prepare the competition. That’s why I went to the competition to see how my friends performed. It was a small boxing contest. The organizers wanted one more person to join the competition for balancing the fight. Then I became the one who fit in the weight etc. Anyways, I asked them to play it like sparring with consensus at first. But things not going well. My opponent was jabbing me at 80% power or something. The. We became in a fight. I overwhelmed him with my strength and stamina. He got a countdown during second round.

I just had gotten 5 full power and clean jabs in the whole contest. What’s bother me is that I still get swollen inside my heads with 2 days.

I was wondering if I was in a 50-50 fight, or less. How my body was going to be hurt? How do you guys can commit to it? How do you adjust that? How do you willing to sacrifice your body or overcome the fear to be in the fight?
