My life feels grey even though I‘m “successful“
I’m 16, and from the outside, I guess I’m doing well. I make a lot of money by developing games on roblox around $50k a month rn and I’ve set myself up to be financially independent very early. I’ve never liked the idea of having a normal job, and I’m not interested in any career paths. In school i only ever did the bare minimum not to fail. I just don’t enjoy studying, and I don’t really care much about it.
But even with all that “freedom,” my life feels grey.
Every day is basically the same, I wake up, take care of basic needs like showering or skincare, then I just sit in my room all day working if I have to, or playing games, then go to sleep and repeat. I don’t go to school often, i missed around 130 days this year and im not really interested in hanging out with other people either which means I often go weeks or months without seeing anyone else except my family, but I don’t talk to them much either.
I’m not sad or suicidal but I do wonder sometimes what I’m even alive for. It feels like im just passing time. I’ve built this version of life where everything is “fine” on paper, but I feel disconnected from meaning or direction.
Having success this early just left me feeling like there’s nothing left to work toward. I don’t even enjoy what I do, I keep doing it because it’s smart for the future when im not gonna live with my parents, but in the present all this money doesn’t change anything. I already have the things I want, and my life still feels empty.
