New investor but I feel so lost on my start and not sure if I’m doing it right
I just opened my first brokerage account with Fidelity to start investing my money rather than let it rot in my bank accounts. I have a goal of purchasing a house so take that for what you will in regard to future endeavors.
I’m very confused on the difference between ETFs. Like what determines a ‘growth’ ETF and what’re the other ‘types’ of ETFs I should be aware about. My u distancing of the market is very basic so a lot of terminology and stuff being said in other posts go over my head. Especially the mix of allocations and how to determine that.
Just doing some basic research, my plan was to invest in VOO, VXUS, and SCHD since I’ve read that they are ‘good starting’ ETFs. Am I going in the right direction or am I still very lost where to start?
I’m happy to share more details if needed but would really appreciate some guidance or even places to read how to improve my knowledge.
