I got my nightstalker in yesterday, about 2 months before I expected it to show up so I haven’t fully decided what to do yet. I will start with my purpose for this rifle
I would say it will be 50% thermal night predator hunting, 25% day time predator hunting and 25% day time deer hunting, and I also want to use it on an antelope hunt sometime next year. Most shots within 200 but want capability to 500-600 yards. It will be suppressed and when night hunting I’m often in and out of a SxS a lot, shooting off a tripod. I want it short. 16.5” or 18” barrel.

That being said, looking for opinions.
I get industry discounts on proof carbon blanks and the Bergara premier stripped actions, like $650 for the action, $700 for barrel blanks. I don’t care for prefits, because nobody makes a carbon prefit in the length/caliber I want for this rifle anyways. I’ve had a b14 before, and liked it, never a used premier action, but have used an origin a bit. Does anyone have any opinion on if it is worth saving the $250 on the premier action compared to an origin or kelbly atlas lite?

Also, duke it out, 6mm creed, 25 creed or 6.5 creed for above stated purpose. Real world velocity numbers out of 16.5” or 18” barrels appreciated

TLDR; is an origin or atlas action worth $250 more than a Bergara premier IF you don’t need the option for off the shelf prefits?
