Uterine ablation—did it actually work for you... eventually?
Hey all—looking for some shared experiences because I’m starting to feel a little discouraged.
I had a uterine ablation in February of this year. My OBGYN said the procedure was successful, and I know it’s supposed to work well for about 80% of women. But here I am, months later (it's now May), still getting my period like clockwork—same time, same cramps, same bleeding as before. Honestly, it feels like nothing has changed.
I’ve always had very regular cycles, so it’s easy to notice that my symptoms haven’t budged. 2 C-sections, no other complications on my scans or health history, other then heavy periods after c sections. My doc says to give it time, but I’m wondering: Did anyone else feel like this early on, only to have it start working later? Or is this a sign that it didn’t work for me?
Just trying to figure out if I’m being impatient or if it’s time to push for more answers. Would love to hear from others who’ve been in the same boat.
Thanks in advance!
