How to go about finding a replacement teacher for your students?
For some background, I work full time as an engineer but have been teaching 5 students after work for the past year. They are great students, a couple of them are actually super super talented. Since I will be joining some other music groups next year I have decided not to continue teaching (just not enough time) but I thought it would be good to offer the parents to help them find a replacement teacher for next year.
I want to really make sure I am finding a proper replacement, especially since the parents have told me they like the results I am getting and that they didn't like previous teachers they had. I want to reach out to my old piano teacher, however I think she is probably out of their budget (she charges $100/hr, and doesn't do in-home lessons), however she is well connected and I thought she might have a good recommendation for someone who is more affordable and lives closer to the students. I am wondering if it would be bad form to ask her about if she has any suggestions for other teachers?
