Would I notice a significant downgrade from a Galaxy?

Hi, sorry for yet another "is x better than y" post but I'm just on the fence. been using a galaxy watch 4 for about 3 years, looking to upgrade primarily for the battery. I mostly walk & lift, i'm not tracking variuos extensive workouts, and due to samsung's shitty battery I don't sleep track because it charges nightly. I heard the OS on the garmins is clunky and slow, at $350 (sale currently) for a Venu 3s, would I regret the change? anyone got insight from a galaxy-dumper? mostly looking at Venu 3s, but vivoactive 6 is also enticing.
