Tone: I've imagined this as a playful, flirty joke taken very, very far. With the character being in a very forwardly seductive mood, and delivering the lines with a bit of a wink and nod. But I can also see the script being performed in a more stern, straight faced kind of way. Either interpretation (or any other!) is fine.
