I emailed to song to [Toronto Mike](https://www.torontomike.com/). Mike's Podcast often features Toronto-area bands and DJs from the era of CIA.

Mike didn't know the song. He forwarded it to Rob Preuss from [The Spoons](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoons_(band)). Rob **emphatically** doesn't know the song. Mike subsequently remembered that someone had previously emailed him about CIA. He had asked CFNY DJs [Ivar Hamilton](https://spiritofradio.ca/Personalities.asp?Show=Hamilton%2C+Ivar) and [Scot Turner](https://spiritofradio.ca/Personalities.asp?Show=Turner%2C+Skot) (formerly Skot Turner). Obviously they didn't know it either.

On a positive note, Mike said he'd play CIA on Monday's podcast! - [link to Toronto Mike'd livestream](https://live.torontomike.com/tmds/d2689cac-d649-5519-8995-b61b0091d27e)

Additional leads could probably be gathered from Mike's list of [past guests](https://www.torontomike.com/notable-guests-on-toronto-miked/).

e.g. I also contacted [Cameron Carpenter](https://www.torontomike.com/2024/08/cameron-carpenter-kicks-out-the-jams-toronto-miked-podcast-episode-1543/), since Cam worked for Quality Records (which provided a recording contract to the winner of the '84-'85 Great Ontario Talent Search). Cam was also a DJ at [Nuts & Bolts](https://thenandnowtoronto.com/2014/09/then-now-nuts-bolts-5/). Unfortunately Cam doesn't recognize the song either.
