My wife wants to try cnc play

My wife recently revealed to me that she has a CNC kink that she wants to explore. I am not that type of person at all but I really want to try for her sake. Any advice on how to approach this? We have talked about what she wants, we have agreed on a safe word. My biggest issue is getting myself in the right frame of mind so I can stay in character. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
