Canoo App - Immigrants gets free access to Canada parks, but citizens got to pay?

Discussion

I just discovered this through my wife scrolling rednote (小紅書) about an app called "Canoo". Basically what this does is this: "Using the Institute for Canadian Citizenship's Canoo mobile app, enjoy free admission to all places administered by Parks Canada across the country for one full year." (Parks Canada, https://parks.canada.ca/voyage-travel/admission/cultur )

So new immigrants gets to enjoy places like museums, zoos, aquariums, art galleries, Capilano Suspension bridge (adult single ticket price $71.95 as of this writing), etc.... you know, places that Canadian citizens are normally too busy or too financially broken by our government to enjoy on a regular bases. But new immigrants gets to roam around everywhere in the country for free on our tax dollars for an entire year? Am I reading this right?

I've also recently discovered that there are a whole of bunch of first time home buyer tax exemptions and mortgage benefits for new immigrants of recent 5 years or something? But that's for another discission...

If you know anything our government is doing to improve the happiness of the hardworking Canadian citizens who are funding them, please leave a comment as well, I'd love to know. Thanks.
