Just came back to the game after launch.. Stuttering issues.
I picked up the game at launch, and performance was good; no issues whatsoever. However, I've got severe arthritis and nerve issues, and at the time it was almost impossible for me to play more than 15 minutes with a controller or M+KB, so I had to put it down.
Arthritis and nerve issues are a little better lately, so decided to hop back in. Started over from the beginning, and I found that I'd frequently get severe micro-stutters at certain points. One that stuck out to me in the early Yasuke portion was with the block/parry markers appearing. Other times it'd be when your viewpoint has a major shift via the path you're forced to take, or when the game shifts your perspective in a cutscene to something dramatically different.
The worst was this scene:
It was nothing but a stuttering mess until about this point:
Here's my system specs:
SSD: Western Digital SN580 2TB
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 4070 SUPER Windforce OC 12G
RAM: Team T-Force Delta Black DDR5 6000MHz CL38 - 16 GB x 2
CPU: Intel Core i7-14700KF 20-Core 3.4 GHz
Motherboard: N7 Z790 DDR5
Updated GPU drivers to the latest, no change. Rebooted, and no change.
I'm playing with RT settings on medium, DLSS set to Quality, and most stuff set to high/med, resolution 1440p.
Seems odd that everything would be fine at launch and then be this kind of garbage later. Overall performance outside of the intermittent stuttering is just buttery smooth.
