With SAB TV overtaking Sony, I don’t think there is a better time for Star to revive Star One

SAB TV has shown that even a sister channel can bag good trps, so then why shouldn’t Star invest in a competitive sister channel?

There also exists a sufficient gap in the market because there is an audience that doesn’t want to watch the run of the mill Saas-Bahu-Dayan content or shows set in small towns but are also uncomfortable with too much profanity or nudity. If Star One could straddle these two demands two decades ago, it can most certainly do it today.
