Barking?

I have two Pomskies—my beloved little fur babies—and I’ve recently observed some interesting differences in their vocal behaviors. My male tends to bark softly for nearly everything: food, affection, going outside, coming back in, or when he wants a walk. It’s quite endearing and thankfully not too loud, which I appreciate.

In contrast, my female only whines or cries to communicate her needs, whether it’s for attention, to be held, fed, or even during play. Interestingly, I’ve never heard her bark—not even once. They’re both around four months old, so I wonder if her barking might simply develop a bit later?
